Australian Suzy Walsham made it for the 5th time and won the 2014 Empire State Run-up. The contestant climbed 86 floors, a total of 1,576 set of steps in 11 minutes and 57 seconds. She was able to break her previous record which was 12 minutes.
Nearly, five hundred people from all over the world participated in the event. The event was organized by New York Road Runners, who are also responsible for the arrangement of the Marathon in New York City.
The Empire State Building Run-up is deemed as one of the most difficult races in the world.
