Apple rolls out iOS 8.2 beta 3
Just over a week after iOS 8.2 beta 2, Apple has made beta 3 available to iOS developers. Much like beta 2, the latest update mainly fixes some more bugs in preparation for a public launch in 2015, which will coincide with the release of the Apple Watch. The update was first made available over-the-air, but is now on Apple’s Dev Center website for download as well.
Overall, iOS 8.2 will bring support for Apple Watch. Apple’s “most personal device ever” is expected in spring of 2015, according to Apple’s SVP of Retail and Online Stores Angela Ahrendts. That means we’ll see the public release of iOS 8.2 right around that time as well. There’s even a possibility of seeing iOS 8.3 before next fall, when iOS 9 will probably arrive.
Next spring will be an important time for Apple. It has been said that Apple Watch was developed entirely after the Steve Jobs era. The release will reflect on today’s Apple, for good or for bad. Some have predicted that Apple will sell about 24 million Apple Watches in the first year. Are you looking forward to getting an Apple Watch next year, or would you rather not get one?
